Our building began as Fondren Memorial Bible Church in 1987 and operated for nearly 30 years. After closing, it became Dorothy's Chapel for a few years. In fall of 2023, Vanndale Baptist Church and Pastor Howard Collier were led to open a men's recovery ministry. The vacant church building was purchased by church members Ronnie and Sheila Clegg. Because of the vision of Vanndale Baptist Church and Pastor Collier, the Cleggs donated the building to Living Waters Recovery Ministry. The building was in dire need of a roof, and the Minnonites Disaster Relief team came and repaired/rebuilt the roof. Numerous hours were spent by volunteers converting areas into a living quarters, a family gathering space, and an office. The main chapel was left intact, as well as many painted murals on the interior. We are now an Arkansas state non-profit corporation with federal 501c3 status. We can house 12 men in our alcohol/substance abuse residential rehabilitation program. Our recovery process involves Bible-based teaching and Christ-centered living goals to guide men on this journey to sober lives.
The Executive Board of Living Waters Recovery Ministry is made up of Ronnie Clegg, Tommy South, and Douglas Callahan. All facets of the programs direction are determined by this board, and the divine wisdom of God Almighty.
